Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a cook responsible for preparing and serving meals according to planned menus. You will ensure meals are delivered on time, organize prep tasks, and maintain sanitation standards in the kitchen and service areas.

The ideal candidate has cooking experience, understands health and safety rules, and can handle lifting duties. Preference given to those with 2+ years cooking for large groups and experience with special diets.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate successful employment as a cook.
• Must be able to regularly lift up to 30 pounds, occasionally lift more than 50 pounds, and spend long periods standing.
• Working knowledge of health and safety regulations in food preparation.
• Ability to organize and use time effectively with minimal supervision.
• Two+ years of experience cooking for large groups preferred.
• Experience preparing special diets (low sodium, low cholesterol, diabetic, vegetarian) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and serves meals as indicated on planned menus using standardized portions.
• Serves meals at scheduled times, planning and organizing food prep tasks.
• Completes cleanup duties after each meal service.
• Follows cleaning schedules and sanitation checklists to maintain a clean kitchen and service area.
• Ensures resident, staff, and guest meals are accounted for.
• Meets resident food preferences.
• Observed issues reported to the Director of Food Service or Executive Director.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
