Congregate Connect LLC seeks a compassionate Nutrition Consultant to support residents in Licensed Adult Residential Facilities and Group Homes, ensuring nutritionally balanced meals that meet medical, dietary, cultural, and personal needs while complying with California regulations.

The role requires a strong clinical nutrition background, excellent communication, and collaboration with facility staff. Compensation is $120.00 per hour, with flexible contractor or part-time arrangements.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Food Science, Public Health, or a closely related field required.
• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) preferred.
• Current California licensure or certification, if required by law.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with adults with developmental disabilities, mental illness, or medically complex needs preferred.
• Knowledge of therapeutic diets, menu planning, food safety, and California Community Care Licensing regulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems.

Responsabilidades

• Assess residents’ nutritional needs and recommend appropriate diet modifications.
• Develop and review balanced menus that support resident health, independence, and quality of life.
• Modify menus as needed for therapeutic diets, allergies, texture changes, weight management, and cultural or religious preferences.
• Provide guidance and training to facility staff on nutrition, food safety, sanitation, portion control, therapeutic diets, and healthy meal preparation.
• Educate residents, when appropriate, on healthy food choices, hydration, meal planning, and related wellness topics.
• Monitor food preparation, meal service, snack offerings, and hydration practices.
• Conduct kitchen inspections and review food storage, sanitation, and temperature practices.
• Maintain required documentation, including menu approvals, consultation reports, training records, and follow-up recommendations.
• Collaborate with administrators, program staff, physicians, nurses, therapists, case managers, and family members as appropriate.
• Support ongoing compliance with CCL, Title 22, food safety regulations, and agency policies.

Job Description

Position Overview:

Congregate Connect is seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable Nutrition Consultant to support the health, dignity, and well-being of individuals living in Licensed Adult Residential Facilities (ARFs) and Group Homes. This position is ideal for a nutrition professional who is committed to resident-centered care, regulatory compliance, and improving quality of life through thoughtful, individualized nutrition services.

The Nutrition Consultant will help ensure that residents receive nutritionally balanced meals that meet medical, dietary, cultural, and personal needs while maintaining compliance with California Community Care Licensing (CCL), Title 22, applicable Title 17 regulations, physician orders, and other state and federal requirements. The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical nutrition knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to partner effectively with facility staff and other professionals.

Compensation: $120.00 per hour
