Job summary

Providence Health Plan Group is seeking a Diet Clerk to manage patient diet orders, menus, and related records while handling inbound calls and communicating information to care teams. This role reports to the Patient Services Supervisor/Manager and is based at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.

The position emphasizes accurate record-keeping, coordination with dietary services, and providing responsive service to patients and staff in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Clerical, customer service, and/or therapeutic diet experience.
• National Food Handler Card upon hire or equivalent per local authority requirements.

Description

The diet clerk maintains information regarding patient diet orders, menus, special requests, and other requested records. In addition to patient-centered activities, the clerk responds to all incoming calls, and effectively relays all information. Works under direct supervision of the Patient Services Supervisor and or Manager.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
