Madison Regional Health System is seeking a part-time Nutrition Assistant to join our Dietary team. You’ll help provide nutritious, appealing meals to patients, visitors, and staff while supporting our mission of delivering quality healthcare close to home.

Responsibilities include preparing and portioning food items, assembling patient trays, setting up the cafeteria buffet, operating the cash register, and keeping the kitchen clean and organized.

Nutrition Assistant (Part-Time)

Madison Regional Health System is seeking a part-time Nutrition Assistant to join our Dietary team. In this important role, you'll help provide nutritious, appealing meals to patients, visitors, and staff while supporting our mission of delivering quality healthcare close to home.

What You'll Do

As a Nutrition Assistant, you will:

• Prepare and portion food items


• Assemble patient meal trays accurately and efficiently


• Set up and maintain the cafeteria buffet line


• Operate the cash register and provide excellent customer service


• Wash dishes and maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment


• Assist patients, visitors, and staff with meal-related needs

This is a hands-on, fast-paced position that requires attention to detail, strong multitasking skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional service.

Schedule & Work Environment

• Part-time position


• Rotating shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays


• Typical shifts range from 6:00 AM-2:30 PM and 11:00 AM-7:30 PM


• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting (10-35 lbs.)


• Work in a clean, well-lit kitchen environment utilizing standard food-service equipment
