Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a Nutrition Assistant to join the Food and Nutrition Services team. You will ensure high-quality meal preparation and presentation, accurately portion meals, and maintain strict hygiene standards to delight patients, guests and staff.

You will collaborate with dietitians and cooks to deliver efficient, safe and aesthetically pleasing dining experiences across 11 hospitals and numerous sites in the Puget Sound region.

Qualifications

• 1 year of Food Service or Customer Service experience required.
• Food Handlers Permit within 30 days or per state requirement.
• WA state approval for FHP required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present meals with attention to dietary restrictions and plating aesthetics.
• Accurately portion meals and beverages while upholding safety and hygiene standards.
• Collaborate with dietitians, cooks and food service staff to ensure quality dining for patients and guests.
