Job summary

The Dietitian Assistant at Humboldt Senior Resource Center supports our participants within Redwood Coast PACE Eureka, CA. The role involves managing supplement orders, coordinating frozen meals, triaging referrals, and leading educational nutrition activities.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, 2–3 years of admin experience in healthcare, and a willingness to travel between PACE sites. CPR/First Aid and driver’s license are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Two to three years of administrative experience required, preferably in the health care field.
• Minimum of one year experience working with a frail or elderly population preferred.
• Experience with facilitating groups and/or teaching, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supplement Management – act as the primary contact for refill requests and coordinate deliveries.
• Frozen Meal Management – place orders and track deliveries.
• Referral and Scheduling Coordination – triage referrals and manage dietitian schedule.
• Serve as primary contact for issues not requiring a Dietitian.
• Coordinate with other departments on special diet orders.
• Train staff on modified diet consistencies.
• Provide educational group activities such as cooking groups.
• Coordinate Nutrition Meetings and act as liaison between HSRC Nutrition and PACE.
• Travel between PACE sites.
• Other duties as assigned.
