Job summary

St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Kentucky is hiring a Nutrition Assistant to join the Grant County Nutrition Services Team. This PRN, half-shift role supports patient meals, dishware processing, and nourishment delivery while maintaining a clean and sanitary environment.

You will collaborate with caregivers to assemble patient trays, restock stock, and perform light janitorial duties. The ideal candidate will respect patients, families, and staff, demonstrate empathy, and follow safety guidelines in

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must be able to read, write, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Delivery and retrieval of room service meal carts and stock to patient care units, coordinating with ambassadors on timing and placement.
• Retrieve dirty tray carts and replace with clean carts; deliver dirty trays to dish room.
• Perform janitorial tasks such as cleaning equipment, mopping, sweeping and trash disposal.
• Process utensils and dishware through the dish machine for patients, cafeteria and catered food service.
• Restock clean dishware in cafeteria and patient areas to meet service needs.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and medical center standards; assist with performance improvement data collection.

Job Summary:

St. Elizabeth is hiring a Nutrition Assistant to join our Grant County Nutrition Services Team.

Shift/Hours: PRN, Split 1/2 Shift

Process utensils and dishware for patients, cafeteria, and catered meals. Prepare and assemble foods for patients. Assemble patient meal trays and nourishments. Deliver patient meal carts and nourishment stock. Perform janitorial duties as assigned.

• Cleaning: Perform janitorial tasks such as cleaning equipment and work surfaces, mopping, sweeping and trash disposal.


• Quality: Compliance with all local, state, federal and medical center regulatory, safety, sanitation and security standards. Participate in performance improvement (PI) studies; assist with data collection and supports action plans


• Performs other duties as assigned.
