Job summary

Ozarks Area Community Action Corporation (OACAC) Head Start is seeking a Nutrition Assistant in Branson Fall Creek to support daily food service operations for children and staff. You will help prepare and serve meals, follow menus, and maintain kitchen safety standards.

This full-time, year-round role requires reliable transportation, the ability to lift up to 40 pounds, and strong teamwork. We offer PTO, health insurance, training opportunities, and a positive work environment.

Position Information

Position Title: Nutrition Assistant

Department: Head Start/Early Head Start

Location: Branson Fall Creek

Reports To: Center Supervisor

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Position Overview

OACAC Head Start is seeking motivated team members for the position of Nutrition Assistant. This role supports daily food service operations by preparing and serving meals, maintaining food safety standards, and assisting with kitchen organization and meal service for children and staff.

Work Schedule

• Full-Time, 40 hours per week
• Full Year position

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals according to approved menus
• Monitor meal preparation and food service processes
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen areas
• Follow food safety and sanitation standards
• Assist with administrative tasks related to meal preparation and service
• Collaborate with center staff to support daily operations
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Reliable transportation
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Quantity cooking experience

Compensation

• Starting pay: $17.03 per hour
