Job summary

Cantex is seeking a Nutrition Services Aide to assist in delivering Nutrition Services. The role may involve preparing/serving food items, setting up tables and trays, washing dishes, cleaning tasks, and delivering soiled linen to laundry.

Responsibilities

• Maintains sanitation and quality standards.
• Washes dishes, pots, tableware, and utensils.
• Cleans and sanitizes equipment as assigned.
• Completes logs as assigned.
• Prepares dining room tables and patient trays with proper tableware and condiments.
• Performs various food preparation tasks and helps portion servings.
• Prepares and serves beverages for trayline and dining rooms.
• Performs other cleaning tasks per schedule.
• Delivers nourishments and supplements labeled for patients.
• Maintains tray tickets and makes changes as directed.
• Delivers soiled linens to laundry.
• Identifies and corrects safety hazards.
• Fills orders for between-meal nourishments.
• Wraps flatware in napkins as applicable.
• Clears and wipes dining tables after meals.
• Maintains daily care of dishwashing, lavatories, sinks, and work areas.
• Empties trash and cleans per shift.
• Covers floor care with sweeping/mopping.
• Understands and enforces patient care policies.
• Attends in-services and complies with care management systems.
• Ensures patient/resident safety.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Performs various food preparation tasks and assists in apportioning servings.
• Prepares and serves beverages for trayline and dining rooms.
• Performs other cleaning tasks according to established schedules.
• Prepares and/or deliver nourishment and supplements identified with patient labels.
• Maintains tray tickets making changes as may be directed or necessary.
• Delivers soiled linens to laundry.
• Identifies and corrects safety hazards.

• Attends in-services, understands, and complies with Patient Care Management Systems.

• Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.
