Job summary

First Quality is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the Nutek Disposables facility in McElhattan, PA. This 12-hour shift runs 6:45 pm–7:00 am and focuses on mechanical repairs, preventive maintenance, and safe operation of production equipment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 3+ years of industrial experience, and strong mechanical knowledge, including pneumatics and hydraulics. Team players with strong tooling skills are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Three years of Industrial Experience or equivalent required.
  • Technical or vocational school training relating to mechanics preferred.
  • Advanced mechanical knowledge.
  • Standard knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Standard knowledge of product specifications, quality specifications, goals, efficiency, scrap, and production.
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools.
  • Ability to use measuring tools such as micrometers and vernier calipers.
  • Ability to run the equipment.
  • Ability to work in a team oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Observes all safety rules and uses the proper safety equipment at all times.
  • Follows GMP, FDA, and ISO regulations.
  • Repairs mechanical components of equipment as required.
  • Troubleshoots and analyzes mechanical/operational issues and takes corrective action.
  • Operates machines so repairs can be tested on completion.
  • Performs changeovers and setups as directed.
  • Keeps a clean and orderly work area.
  • Performs preventive maintenance checks and reports findings.
  • Recommends modifications to maintenance requirements and periodicity.
  • Shares knowledge with team and assists training.
  • Attends training seminars when applicable.
  • Completes paperwork accurately and timely.
  • Operates equipment as required.
  • Performs other duties as necessary.

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Nutek Disposables Company located in McElhattan, PA.

This is a 12- hour position working 6:45 pm-7:00 am.

Principal Accountabilities/ Responsibilities:
  • Observes all safety rules and uses the proper safety equipment at all times.
  • Follows necessary GMP, FDA, and ISO regulations.
  • Repairs all mechanical components of all equipment as required.
  • Troubleshoots and analyzes mechanical and operational issues on all equipment and takes required corrective action to resolve these issues.
  • Operates all machines so that repairs can be tested when complete.
  • Conducts or assists with changeovers and setups as directed.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
  • Performs preventive maintenance checks and inspections of assigned equipment and reports findings to the Supervisor/Manager.
  • Recommends modification of preventative maintenance requirements and changes to periodicity as needed.
  • Shares knowledge and techniques with team members and assists with training.
  • Attends all training seminars provided by the company when applicable.
  • Completes all paperwork correctly and submits in a timely fashion.
  • Operates equipment as required.
  • Performs other duties as necessary when directed to do so.
Education & Experience Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Three years of Industrial Experience or equivalent required.
