Job summary

Brave Christian Schools in California is seeking a Preschool Teacher to provide a safe, nurturing classroom that supports social, emotional, physical and intellectual development and to implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum.

You will partner with families, maintain safety, plan daily activities, and promote inclusive, anti-bias learning that reflects local and global communities. This is a full-time, in-person position with Brave benefits.

Qualifications

• Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children that encourages their social, emotional, physical and intellectual development.
• Design and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum according to guidelines established by Brave Christian Preschool, NAEYC, and California State Licensing.
• Maintain positive relationships with families, children and colleagues and ensure safety and supervision at all times.

Responsibilities

• Interact frequently, affectionately, and respectfully with children, speaking in a friendly, calm, soft and courteous manner.
• Engage and communicate constructively with individual children during activities and routines, extending thinking and actions.
• Plan a daily schedule with a balance of activities and provide documentation of children’s accomplishments.
