Qualifications

• Experience working with preschool or early childhood age groups preferred.
• Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices.
• Knowledge of Head Start a plus.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to pass a background check per Missouri childcare licensing requirements.
• Warm, nurturing demeanor with a genuine passion for working with young children.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for preschool-aged children.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Monitor and support the social, emotional, and cognitive development of each child.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding child progress.
• Maintain accurate attendance, developmental records, and classroom documentation.
• Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to ensure program quality and consistency.
• Ensure compliance with state childcare licensing regulations and safety standards.
