Job summary

The Kaiserman JCC in Wynnewood, PA is seeking a Preschool Assistant Teacher to support a developmentally appropriate program for a class of preschool children. You will work under the supervision of the Lead Teacher and Preschool Directors to meet social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and language needs.

Responsibilities include engaging children at eye level, supporting daily routines, promoting safety, and collaborating with families and colleagues to create an inclusive Jewish learning

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, child development, or related field preferred but not necessary.
• Experience in and/or knowledge of emergent curriculum and developmentally appropriate practice.
• Must be emotionally responsive in their work with children and wish to be part of a larger community that enriches children's lives by co-constructing meaningful learning experiences.
• Must have effective and strong communication skills (oral and written).
• At least 2 years' experience working with preschool age children.

Responsibilities

• Interact with children at eye level and use an appropriate voice.
• Support social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and language development.
• Assist in implementing developmentally appropriate activities and routines.
• Communicate with families and Lead Teachers to monitor progress and needs.
• Contribute to a respectful, inclusive classroom environment in line with program policies.
