Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a child care setting or related field.
• Talent for fostering children's appetite for learning.
• Creative and resourceful with strong planning and organizational skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills; knowledge of classroom activities and teaching methods.
• Genuine interest in children and respect for their individuality.
• Ability to establish positive relationships with families and other professionals.

Responsibilities

• Provides support to the lead Teacher in implementing activities per curriculum and program standards.
• Participates in one-on-one activities with small groups during instruction and review.
• Engages actively in all activities with the children.
• Guides children who need extra support to complete tasks.
• Follows instructions and works in a supporting role.
• Maintains open and respectful communication with families and staff.
• Collaborates with families and team members.
• Helps maintain a nurturing learning environment and adheres to licensing guidelines.
• Contributes to anecdotal records and development notes.
• Participates in lesson plan reviews, meetings, and professional development.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
