Grady Health System seeks a Nursing Support Technician to support licensed clinicians by providing age-appropriate, culturally sensitive care and maintaining a safe patient environment.

The NST delivers personal care, assists with daily living activities, and performs delegated therapies in inpatient settings, while contributing to patient advocacy, teaching, and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • AHA BLS certification required.
  • Georgia Nursing Assistant Certification or PCT program completion or Basic Nursing Fundamentals Course documented on official transcript.

Responsibilities

  • Provide age-appropriate, culturally and ethnically sensitive care.
  • Maintain a safe environment and collect information.
  • Communicate effectively and utilize technology.
  • Provide personal care, assist with activities of daily living, and offer nourishments.
  • Perform delegated tasks and therapies as directed by a licensed professional.

If you want to make a difference, we want to hear from you.Job SummaryThe Nursing Support Technician (NST), under the supervision of the Professional Registered Nurse, the Licensed Practical Nurse, and/or the Physician, provides age-appropriate, culturally and ethnically sensitive care, maintains a safe environment, collects information, communicates effectively, and utilizes technology. Provides personal care of selected patients, assists with activities of daily living, provides comfort measures and nourishments, and performs selected tasks and therapies as delegated by a licensed professional. The NST primarily functions in the inpatient settings. The role of the NST also includes patient advocacy, teaching, and performance improvement. In addition, the NST roles include performing both basic and advance skills and task as determined by competency validation.
