Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Nurse Supervisor 24/7 to lead patient care and staff development in the Nursing department. You will provide 24-hour clinical accountability and promote excellence across shifts, collaborating with Mayo services to ensure safe, high-quality care for the patient population.

The role requires a BSN, AZ RN license, and leadership experience; a Master’s degree is preferred. This is a full-time position with TN sponsorship eligibility where applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited baccalaureate nursing degree program.
• Masters preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing practice or progressive leadership experience required.
• Previous PIV ultrasound insertion experience preferred.
• CRNI and/or VA-BC certification preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership ability and interpersonal effectiveness required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, critical thinking, problem solving, and computer skills required.
• Current RN license by applicable state requirements.
• Arizona - Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) competency.
• Additional state licensure(s) and/or specialty certification/training as required by the work area.

Responsibilities

• This individual promotes excellence based on department specific and organizational goals.
• The scope of responsibility for this position includes 24 hour clinical accountability for assigned areas.
• The Nurse Supervisor 24/7 practice creates a professional environment conducive to the delivery of quality patient care and is an advocate for patient and staff safety.
• This position requires collaboration with all other Mayo services to enhance patient care and assure that appropriate care is delivered for the population served.
• The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span.
• The ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and appropriately interpret information relative to the patient's specific needs is required.
• The Nurse Supervisor 24/7 practice supports leadership through activities that include development of staff, teaching, and community involvement.
• The individual may also be involved with hiring staff, staffing the unit and participation in committees and research.
• The individual supervises nursing practice within a hospital-based program/unit and has supervisory responsibilities such as staff performance reviews.
• This role is eligible for TN sponsorship.
