Job summary

Covenant Living Communities and Services in Illinois is seeking a Nursing Supervisor, RN to lead nursing staff across assisted living, skilled nursing and memory care. The role focuses on quality of care, regulatory compliance, and staff development.

Ideal candidate: graduate of an approved nursing program, current RN license in the state, 2 years nursing experience and 2 years supervisory experience. Competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
Must be currently licensed as an RN in the State.
2 years nursing experience, required.
2 years of supervisory experience, required.

Responsibilities

Supervise professional and non-professional nursing staff.
Manage the overall functioning of the building for the assigned shift.
Provide explanations of nursing policies and procedures and assist staff to ensure understanding and training.
Participate in evaluation, discipline, and motivation of staff with the DON.
Communicate with DON/administration regarding observations, concerns, and needs.
Provide explanations of nursing care to residents and families as appropriate.
Administer direct and/or emergency care when necessary; respond to emergencies.
Handle special projects as assigned by the DON.
Assign work areas and relocate staff to ensure high-quality care.
Assist in orientation of new nursing personnel and reinforce training standards.
Maintain functional and sanitary maintenance of nursing units and equipment.
