Valley Baptist - Harlingen hospital seeks a results-driven healthcare leader to oversee nursing care, coordinate units, and drive patient outcomes.

The role supervises nursing staff across one or more units, plans and delivers training, and collaborates with related departments to ensure high-quality care and operational success.

Qualified candidates will hold an academic nursing degree with 3 years nursing experience and a valid license; BLS required, ACLS/PALS/NRP as applicable.

• 3 years of nursing experience required.
• Currently licensed to practice as required by law.
• AHA BLS; ACLS/PALS/NRP as applicable by policy.

Supervises and coordinates activities of nursing personnel in one or more patient care units. Verifies that patients' needs are met and evaluates unit nursing care and performance. Participates in planning work of assigned units and coordinates activities with other patient care units and related departments.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Plans and organizes training for unit staff members and participates in guidance and educational programs.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

EducationRequired: Academic degree in nursing. Preferred: Bachelor's or master's degree. ExperienceRequired: 3 years of nursing experience. Preferred: 2 years of nursing supervisor experience CertificationsRequired: Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy. AHA BLS, and if applicable by corporate policy for unit of hire, AHA ACLS and/or PALS and/or NRP.
