The Nursing Supervisor understands and demonstrates knowledge of the healthcare environment, communication and relationship management, business skills and principals, professionalism, and leadership. The Nursing Supervisor works closely with emergency, inpatient, and operational leadership to act as an administrative liaison to internal hospital departments and external community resources. Through the assessment of clinical indicators and use of critical thinking, the Nursing Supervisor collaborates with RN and physician/LIP teams to effectively allocate clinical resources, coordinate patient placement, and manage hospital operations. The Nursing Supervisor ensures that all clinical staff function within established policies and practice guidelines in accordance with all state, federal, and organizational regulations and standards.
