Job summary

Cedars Sinai Marina Hospital in California is seeking a House Supervisor to coordinate daily nursing operations, supervise staff, and ensure safe, high-quality patient care. The role requires strong leadership, effective communication, and a commitment to clinical excellence.

Candidates must hold a California RN license with current BLS and ACLS. A Bachelor's in Nursing is required, a Master's is preferred, and 3+ years of RN experience with supervisory responsibility is expected.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• One or more years of managerial or supervisory experience preferred.
• Valid California RN license and current BLS/ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Supervises nursing staff, schedule shifts and their day-to-day duties on behalf of nursing leadership.
• Perform administrative duties including scheduling nursing shifts.
• Collaborates with other departments and programs to achieve interdisciplinary improvements.
• Maintains a safe environment for staff and patients through awareness of surroundings and participation in the safety program.
• Identifies and solves patients concerns, questions, and suggestions to ensure quality care.
• Collaborates to problem solve and make decisions to achieve desired outcomes
• Establishes effective working relationships with cross-functional team(s)

Position Summary:

The House Supervisor monitors, coordinates, and supervises the daily operations and activities. Acts as a resource for all the team members and works closely with other interdisciplinary teams to maintain best practice workflows and keep issues to a minimum.

Hours:Per Diem, 6:00 a.m. – 18:30 a.m.

Qualifications

License and Certifications:

• Valid California RN License
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• PALS certification preferred

Education:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. Master’s degree preferred

Experience:

• Three or more years of experience as a Registered Nurse
• One or more years experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity is preferred
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal relationships in a manner which enhances communication, promotes conflict resolution and facilitates staff development.
