Job summary

Valley Health seeks an experienced RN supervisor to oversee patient care delivery when Nursing Directors are away. You will round on units, collaborate with staff to resolve clinical and staffing issues, and coach teams to improve outcomes.

You also advocate for patients and route issues to Nursing Leadership and other departments. The role requires a BSN or admission within 5 years, current RN license, and a background in acute/critical care with leadership experience.

Qualifications

• RN license required; BSN completion within 5 years of hire.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• 5 years acute/critical care ED nursing experience; 2 years in leadership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of patient care delivery when Nursing Directors are not in the hospital.
• Make rounds on nursing units and coordinate with staff to solve clinical and staffing issues.
• Address and document practice variations and HR-policy non-compliance; coach staff.
• Advocate for patients and communicate issues to AOC, Nursing Leadership and Ancillary Departments.
