Job summary

Piedmont Fayette Hospital, part of Piedmont Healthcare Inc., seeks an experienced nursing leader to promote high-quality patient care and oversee essential hospital operations. You will supervise staff, coordinate staffing, and ensure safety across shifts within the Care Link department.

The role entails acting as on-site administrator after hours and collaborating with Admissions, Bed Control, and leadership to sustain optimal patient flow.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from a nursing program is required.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Nursing is preferred.
  • 3 years of nursing experience in a hospital setting is required.
  • RN Georgia licensure and/or multi-state licensure is required.
  • BCLS is required; ACLS, PALS, NRP are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and maintain quality patient care and safety on assigned shift.
  • Coordinate with Admissions and Bed Control to facilitate patient flow and provide optimum service.
  • Monitor bed availability and implement surge capacity measures as needed.
  • supervise nursing staff and coordinate staffing on a shift-to-shift basis.
  • Serve as the designated on-site hospital administrator after normal business hours.
  • Assess administrator-on-call requests and manage activities in the absence of Administration.

Responsibilities

Promoting and maintaining quality patient care that promotes safety and well-being of all patients throughout the organization on assigned shift. Plans, directs, and coordinates with Admissions and Bed Control to facilitate flow, providing optimum service to all Piedmont customers. Monitoring bed availability and implementing surge capacity measures as needed. Supervision of the nursing staff and coordination of staffing on a shift-to-shift basis. Is the designated on-site hospital administrator after normal business hours. Responsible for the assessment of all requests for administrator-on-call contact during his/her shift. Responsible for all activities within the hospital in the absence of Administration and/or department directors. Works under the direction of the Administrator on-call to determine the activation of the disaster plan and coordinates related activities. Rounds and maintains open communication with all staff. This position requires a sound knowledge of nursing practice and exceptional leadership abilities.

Qualifications

Education

  • Graduate from a nursing program Required
  • Bachelor’s Degree /Master’s degree in Nursing Preferred

Work Experience

  • 3 years of nursing experience in a hospital setting Required
  • Demonstrated clinical competency Required

Licenses and Certifications

  • RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Required
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support Required
  • ACLS Preferred
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Preferred
  • NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Preferred
