• Prepare patient rooms, stock supplies, and maintain clean and organized clinical areas to support efficient unit operations.
• Participate in patient transport, equipment retrieval, and other workflow tasks that facilitate timely care delivery.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and care team members to support coordinated, patient-centered care.
• Engage in learning experiences, skills development, and preceptor-guided activities that reinforce nursing concepts and clinical best practices.

Position Summary

The Nursing Student Intern provides supervised support to nursing staff while gaining practical clinical experience within Trinity Health’s patient care environment. This role assists with delegated tasks that support unit workflow, promote patient comfort, and contribute to safe, efficient care delivery. Working closely with Registered Nurses and clinical preceptors, the intern builds foundational nursing skills through direct observation, hands-on practice, and participation in patient care activities.
