Job summary

Good Samaritan Medical Center is seeking a Nursing Student Assistant for the Med/Surg Unit 11-2C on a per diem basis. You will work under the supervision of RNs and support the care team in delivering direct patient care, documentation, and basic daily activities.

Expect to assist with hygiene, feeding, essential monitoring, data collection, and patient comfort. A CNA or enrollment in a nursing program is required, with BLS/CPR credentials preferred.

• Multilingual skills are desirable for diverse patient populations.
• Basic math and measurement skills are needed for patient data.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities are essential for nursing support tasks.

Responsibilities

• Under RN supervision, perform delegated patient care interventions.
• Record and communicate patient data, vital signs, intake/output accurately.
• Assist with hygiene, feeding, and basic care activities.
• Prepare patients for procedures and support the care team as needed.
