Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited registered nursing program.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter – Child and/or Dependent Adult Abuse training within three (3) months of hire.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six (6) weeks of hire.

Responsibilities

• Delivers assigned patient care and treatment as delegated by an RN or LPN.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Responds to patient calls and anticipates patient needs.
• Ensures patient safety through proper handling, rounds, and equipment checks.
• Collects and labels specimens; performs bedside glucose testing.
• Documents patient health records in accordance with policy.
• Sets up equipment for procedures and assists with admissions and transfers.
• Discharges patients from the system and observes changes in condition.
