Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network in Cincinnati, OH seeks a Clinical Assistant Manager to advocate for efficient, safe, and compassionate nursing care. You will assist with personnel management, budgeting, strategic planning, and regulatory compliance to strengthen the unit’s care delivery.

Responsibilities include collaboration with the Clinical Manager, staff development, performance improvement, staff evaluations, and ensuring competency.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. BSN strongly preferred; ADN or Diploma may be considered with commitment to complete BSN.
• Current RN licensure in the state of employment. BLS certification required prior to patient contact. Certification in area of specialty within 6 months of eligibility.
• Minimum of two years in clinical nursing practice. One year leadership or charge role preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of nursing, healthcare and organizational systems; experience with performance improvement theory; knowledge of JCAHO standards and accreditation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assists in development of PI initiatives in collaboration with Clinical Manager.
• Supports staff with evaluations, feedback, and discipline as appropriate.
• Ensures staff competency and alignment with unit educator and regulatory standards.
• Participates in leadership and staff meetings; supports patient satisfaction targets.
