Job summary

Ponderosa Villa in Crawford, NE is seeking a Director of Nursing to lead the Nursing Services Department in compliance with federal, state, and local standards for long-term care.

You will plan, organize, develop, and direct activities, policies, and staffing to ensure compassionate, high-quality resident care while fostering professional growth within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Nebraska RN license in good standing.
• Associate degree in nursing; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum one year of nursing leadership experience in a skilled nursing/long-term care facility.
• Genuine love and concern for the geriatric population.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage schedules.
• Excellent communication and teamwork; strong collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain nursing programs and activities.
• Develop, maintain, and update nursing policies, procedures, manuals, objectives and philosophies.
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident services.
• Implement plans of action to correct deficiencies.
• Complete medical forms, reports, evaluations, and charts.
• Develop and maintain a quality assurance program.
• Plan and implement resident discharge procedures and plans.
• Create and maintain a nursing services organizational structure.
• Participate in surveys and inspections by government agencies.
• Recruit, interview, hire, and evaluate nursing services staff.
