Job summary

Qualifications

• Design, implement, and evaluate nursing education programs (orientation, competency validation, ongoing professional development).
• Experience in nursing quality improvement, data collection and analysis of quality indicators, and implementation of performance initiatives.
• Strong clinical leadership, staff coaching, and change management within nursing and interdisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of evidence-based nursing practice, patient safety principles, and regulatory/accreditation requirements (CMS, Joint Commission).
• Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation abilities, with proficiency in EHRs and office software.

Role Description

The Nursing Quality and Education Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Indianapolis area, responsible for leading nursing quality initiatives and educational programs across the organization. This role oversees the development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical education for nursing staff, including orientation, ongoing competency training, and professional development activities. The manager monitors nursing quality metrics, audits clinical practices, and collaborates with leadership to create and update policies, protocols, and evidence-based standards of care. Daily responsibilities include coaching and mentoring nurses, conducting in-services and workshops, analyzing quality data, and coordinating corrective action plans to address performance gaps. The role works closely with interdisciplinary teams to support regulatory compliance, patient safety initiatives, and continuous improvement in clinical outcomes.

Qualifications

• Ability to design, implement, and evaluate nursing education programs, including orientation, competency validation, and ongoing professional development.
• Experience in nursing quality improvement, including data collection, analysis of quality indicators, and implementation of performance improvement initiatives.
• Strong skills in clinical leadership, staff coaching, and change management within nursing and interdisciplinary teams.
• Comprehensive knowledge of evidence-based nursing practice, patient safety principles, and regulatory and accreditation requirements (e.g., CMS, Joint Commission).
• Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation abilities, with proficiency in using electronic health records and standard office software.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana (or eligibility to obtain), with a BSN required; MSN or related graduate degree preferred.
• Several years of clinical nursing experience, including prior experience in quality, education, or nursing leadership roles.
