Job summary

Astrya Global is seeking a PSYCH for a 13-week assignment in Holyoke, Massachusetts. The role runs 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, five days per week, with potential extension.

Pay is $59–$63 per hour, and offers comprehensive benefits and credentialing support. As a Psychiatric RN, you will work within a health care team to deliver direct and indirect patient care, maintain a safe therapeutic environment, and contribute to individualized treatment plans.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Massachusetts required.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• Experience in behavioral health or psychiatric settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect care to patients, families, and guardians.
• Maintain a safe therapeutic milieu based on behavioral health principles.
• Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary treatment team.
• Contribute to individual treatment plans and document goals and interventions.
• Apply Trauma-Informed Recovery model in nursing care.
• Utilize EMR for accurate documentation.
• Demonstrate crisis management and time management skills.
• Float to related units as needed.
• Maintain CPR certification and MA RN license.

Job Title: PSYCH
Location: Holyoke, Massachusetts
Schedule: 2:00PM - 10:30PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $59 - $63/hr

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a PSYCH for a temporary assignment in Holyoke, Massachusetts. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.

Responsibilities for a PSYCH:

• Serve as an active participant in the health care team providing direct and indirect care to patients, families, and legal guardians
• Maintain a safe therapeutic milieu grounded in core behavioral health principles
• Work collaboratively as a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team
• Contribute to each patient's individual treatment plan by helping develop, implement, and document appropriate goals and interventions
• Inform treatment plans using patient strengths and presenting psychiatric problems
• Apply nursing process from a Trauma Informed Recovery model of care
• Use critical thinking to make decisions and solve problems in clinical settings
• Apply advanced knowledge of Behavioral Health and Substance Abuse treatment modalities
• Develop therapeutic relationships while maintaining professional boundaries
• Utilize Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system for documentation
• Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills
• Apply crisis management, time management, delegating, coaching, and team building skills
• Manage stressful situations in a calm, organized, and professional manner
• Float to similar or lower acuity units as needed
• Work every other holiday and every other weekend
• Maintain current CPR certification
• Maintain valid RN licensure within the State of Massachusetts
• Be willing to take charge as needed
