Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Florida-licensed registered nurse to provide specialized care in TB, primary, and specialty clinics. The role includes nursing assessments, case management, and medication administration under protocol in a medical office setting in Florida.

You will document care using SOAP methods, teach healthy lifestyles, and develop care plans while collaborating with physicians and public health colleagues.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Florida RN license or a multi-state license under Florida statutes.
• Valid driver license is required.
• Experience using computers to document medical care.
• Experience in TB and/or HIV care.
• Experience in immunization clinics.
• Experience in a medical office or clinic setting.

Responsibilities

• Provides specialized nursing care for TB, Primary Care, and Specialty Care Clinics.
• Performs back-up duties for Epidemiology and Linkage to Care.
• Collaborates with Senior Community Health Nursing Director-SES and physicians.
• Performs nursing assessment and case management for enrolled clients.
• Takes and records medical history, vital signs, and administers prescribed medications under protocol.
• Documents in the chart using SOAP-based method.
• Teaches healthy lifestyles and provides referral information.
• Develops individualized care plans and reviews abnormal lab reports with physicians.

• Supports the Florida Department of Health in its mission.
• Performs specialized nursing care for the TB, Primary Care, and Specialty Care Clinic.
• Performs 'back-up' duties for Epidemiology and Linkage to Care.
• Works closely with the Senior Community Health Nursing Director-SES and the physicians.
• Provides nursing assessment and case management of clients enrolled in the TB, Primary Care, and Specialty Care Clinic.
• Takes and records medical history, vital signs, and issues prescribed medications under protocol.
• Documents in the chart, utilizing problem oriented S.O.A.P. method.
• Teaches healthy lifestyles and provides referral information to clients.
• Develops Individualized care plans and reviews abnormal lab reports with physicians.

Requirements

• Must hold a current, active Florida Registered Nursing license or a multistate license from another Compact State pursuant to Florida Statute 464 Florida Admin code 210-8.22 or 8.27.
• Valid Driver License
• Experience using computers to document medical care.
• Experience in TB and/or HIV.
• Experience in the immunization clinic.
• Experience working in a medical office or clinic setting.
