Job description

Summary

Under limited supervision, The Nursing Professional Development Practitioner facilitates, designs, develops, implements, and evaluates adult learning principles while promoting clinical excellence, and supporting professional development of frontline staff. This role blends at-the-elbow education, orientation oversight, and interdisciplinary collaboration while adhering to the ANA Nursing professional Development Scope and Standards. The NPD Practitioner functions as a learning facilitator, mentor, advisor, and partner in advancing quality improvement ensuring high-quality, evidence-based patient care.

Experience

Required:

• 3-5 years of Emergency room experience required

Experience Note: Previous education/teaching experience preferred

Education

Required:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Preferred:

• Master of Science in Nursing

Education Note: Master's Preferred (or enrollment in a Master's program within 2 years of hire)

Licensures & Certifications

Required:

• Registered Nurse License - Current Maryland license or eligibility to obtain Maryland license
• Basic Life Support

Preferred:

• APRN-Clinical Nurse Specialist License - Current Maryland license or eligibility to obtain Maryland license
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support

Credential Note: National Certification Required within 1 year of hire (Nursing Specialty, Nursing Professional Development).

Pay Range

$43.33 to $67.91 Based On Experience
