Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center in New York seeks an Administrative Nurse Manager to direct daily Med/Surg operations at the Einstein campus. You will uphold nursing standards per ANA, drive vision, values, and balanced scorecard measures, and participate in performance improvement and professional practice.

You will lead RNs, LPNs, nursing assistants, manage staffing and budgets with Finance, ensure Joint Commission compliance, mentor staff, and spearhead process improvement projects to advance

Qualifications

• Education Preferred Level: Master’s Degree.
• Education Required Level: Bachelor’s Degree.
• 3+ years' Previous nursing leadership/management experience.
• Length of Work Experience Required: 5+ years of Med Surg experience.
• Licenses, Registrations, and/or Professional Certifications required to qualify for this position.
• Evidence of experience in clinical quality and patient experience improvements.
• Licensed NYS Registered Nurse.
• BLS/ACLS.
• Experience Managing in a unionized environment.

Responsibilities

• Directs day-to-day operations of the Einstein Med Surg, including management of RNs, LPNs, Nursing Assistants, and other staff.
• Ensures clinical support coverage and training across areas for RNs and PAs to meet staffing and service standards.
• Collaborates with campus leadership to meet hospital goals for ED and Inpatient services.
• Oversees budgeting, supply chain initiatives, and personnel expenses in partnership with Finance.
• Ensures compliance with Joint Commission standards through QA/QC and hospital leadership.
• Provides opportunities for staff development to maintain competency and knowledge in nursing.
• Leads projects related to operations and process improvement.
• Standardizes procedures and communicates policy changes across departments.
• Maintains safety procedures, work instructions, and documentation for nursing staff.
