Job summary

Los Alamos Wellness & Rehabilitation in New Mexico seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing to support administration and management of Nursing Services in compliance with federal, state, and company standards. The role acts in absence of the Director, overseeing clinical operations and executing the nursing process per the Nurse Practice Act.

Responsibilities include coordinating care plans, staff communication, admissions participation, and contributing to management meetings to address resident

Qualifications

Current RN/LVN license in state of practice.
Associate or Bachelor degree from an accredited nursing program.
Five years' experience in long-term or acute health care preferred.
At least two years of nursing supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

Coordinate plans for total resident care in line with physician orders and regulations.
Communicate policies to nursing staff and monitor practices.
Participate in admissions decisions and visits as needed.
Attend daily/weekly management meetings to discuss status and concerns.
Ensure compassionate, quality care with adequate staffing and safe environment.
