Job summary

Svdpnky is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the Director of Nursing in Dallas, TX, overseeing daily clinical operations and ensuring high-quality, resident-centered care. The ADON provides clinical supervision, staff coaching and development, and regulatory compliance oversight while promoting resident safety and exceptional service.

The role serves as a clinical resource for the interdisciplinary team, assists with staffing and workflow management, responds to changes

Qualifications

• Valid Texas LVN or RN license.
• Demonstrated supervisory and managerial skills.
• Knowledge of current professional nursing theory and practice.
• Excellent technical, assessment and documented skills.
• Ability to organize workflow, respond to emergencies and note detail.
• Ability to maintain a positive, stable disposition in performing work with staff and residents.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Models a service and solutions-oriented attitude towards others and takes initiative to improve processes.
• Ensure resident safety by identifying and reporting safety hazards.
• Recruit, hire, train, coach and evaluate departmental staff (management staff only).
• Assume responsibilities of the Director of Nursing in their absence.
• Perform comprehensive clinical assessments and administer prescribed nursing treatments.
• Maintain knowledge of diets and medications commonly prescribed to residents and administer appropriately.
• Monitor resident safety and well-being and respond to changes in condition.
• Coordinate care with Med Aides and CNAs and supervise care delivery.
• Perform standard infection control techniques and ensure accurate documentation.
