Job summary

Trinity Rehabilitation & Healthcare Company, LLC is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing to help plan, organize, develop and direct the Nursing Department in a Wisconsin long-term care facility.

You will support the Director of Nursing with staffing, scheduling, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance, while ensuring the highest quality resident care and coordinated care with administration, medical director, and other departments.

Qualifications

• Assist the Director of Nursing in determining staffing needs.
• Assist in recruitment and selection of nursing personnel.
• Ensure all nursing assistants are enrolled in or have completed an approved training program.
• Develop work assignments and scheduling for nursing staff.
• Delegate to Charge Nurses and Nurse Supervisors the authority and accountability to perform duties.
• Make daily rounds to ensure nursing service staffing meets acceptable standards and report findings.
• Provide information on residents' nursing needs to the Director and nursing service adequacy.
• Review nurses' notes for completeness and accuracy of care provided.
• Monitor medication passes and treatment schedules as ordered.
• Participate in facility surveys (inspections) as necessary.
• Assist the QA Committee in developing plans to correct deficiencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily rounds to verify nursing service delivery and compliance with care plans.
• Supervise and support scheduling and assignments for nursing staff.
• Monitor medication administration and treatment schedules for accuracy.
• Participate in regulatory surveys and QA activities as directed.
