Fox Valley Technical College is seeking an Instructor for Nursing and Medical Assistant on a limited-term basis at the Appleton Main Campus. The role emphasizes teaching, curriculum development, and student success across hybrid and in-person modalities.

The position requires a Master’s in Nursing and RN licensure, with at least two years of clinical nursing experience. A teaching background is preferred, along with commitment to ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing required.
• Minimum of two years of occupational experience as a Registered Nurse (one year within five years prior to hire). Five years preferred.
• Experience with assessment of clients in acute care, long-term care, or community nursing.
• Prior teaching or training experience preferred.
• Must meet FVTC instructor requirements and accrediting standards (HLC, FQAS).
• Exceptions possible for emergency staffing with VP approval.

Responsibilities

• Learning Facilitation: develop instructional strategies for diverse student needs and multiple delivery methods (hybrid, in-person, virtual, online).
• Assessment: measure learning outcomes and provide regular feedback; use data to drive improvements.
• Curriculum Development: revise materials and ensure alignment with employer expectations and documentation standards.
• Classroom Management: manage schedule, attendance, and safety; ensure materials are available.
• Team Participation: engage in division/department activities and meetings.
• Business & Community Engagement: build relationships with partners and participate in recruitment and outreach.
• Student Success & Support: advise students and coordinate with Student Services to support retention and goals.
• Professional Development: pursue new teaching methods and maintain required certifications.
