Job summary

Amatus Health in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Nursing Manager to oversee clinical nursing operations within our substance use disorder programs, including detoxification and residential treatment services. This leadership role ensures safe, patient-centered care and regulatory compliance across the care continuum.

The position requires strong team leadership, staff development, on-call flexibility, and collaboration with medical providers and therapists to support treatment planning and patient

Qualifications

• RN in Maryland with license (or eligible for MD endorsement)
• 3–5 years nursing experience, 1–2 years in leadership
• Direct experience in SUD treatment (detox/residential) required

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to nursing staff across detox and residential programs
• Ensure delivery of safe, effective, patient-centered care
• Supervise, train, and mentor nursing team members, including performance management
• Coordinate staffing schedules and on-call coverage
• Collaborate with medical providers and therapists on treatment planning and outcomes
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards
• Monitor and improve clinical workflows, documentation, and quality assurance
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and staff development
• Respond to clinical issues and emergencies as needed
