Job summary

Cura, Inc. is seeking a Nursing Lab Supervisor to oversee all nursing simulation and learning laboratories, ensuring safe operation, proper equipment use, and alignment with program objectives.

The role leads Lab Coordinators and Student Aides, coordinates with faculty and IT/AV, manages schedules, inventory, budget, and safety compliance, and supports student practice sessions. Qualifications include NJ RN license, a BSN, and 3+ years in hospital or nursing education; experience with 3G HPNS

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered RN license in NJ.
• Knowledge of current standards of nursing practice.
• Ability to utilize current nursing lab equipment and perform all basic nursing skills.
• Good organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with others.
• Basic computer literacy and the ability to learn and use additional applications required for the use of simulators, lab equipment and courses specific electronic resources.
• Ability to move, lift, or carry simulators, manikins, and other equipment (25 pounds).
• Ability to push and pull wheeled equipment including beds, stretchers, carts and IV poles.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all activities in the Nursing Simulation and Learning Laboratories.
• Oversee the schedule for all lab rooms for use by Nursing.
• Coordinate with Allied Health and WFD for laboratory room access.
• Prioritize daily workflow and adjust as needed while ensuring learning needs are met.
• Collaborate with faculty to plan and prepare instructional activities, supplies, and equipment necessary to meet course learning objectives.
• Maintain, prepare, and distribute equipment and supplies for faculty-led activities and student practice sessions.
• Provide guidance to nursing students when they are practicing skills independently in the labs and communicate laboratory practice hours to faculty and students.
