Job summary

Keiser University is looking for experienced Nursing Instructors to deliver education across classroom, laboratory and clinical sites. Instructors will prepare course plans and materials, deliver courses, monitor attendance and progress, advise students, and record grades while upholding professional standards.

Applicants must hold a Master's degree in Nursing (Doctorate preferred) and a current, unrestricted Florida RN or APRN license.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing required; Doctorate preferred.
• Current unrestricted Florida RN or APRN license.
• Minimum 2 years of full-time nursing practice.
• Minimum 2 years of full-time teaching experience preferred.
• Experience with learning outcomes assessments preferred.

Responsibilities

Job description

Instructors are responsible for leveraging their expertise to deliver education services to students through:

• Preparing course plans and materials
• Delivering courses
• Monitoring progress/attendance
• Advising students
• Recording grades and submitting reports
• Fulfilling faculty duties of instruction in classroom, laboratory, and clinical sites
• Meeting the credentialing requirements compliant with state licensing agencies and regulatory boards
• Participating in program, institution and community activities

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:

• Hold a minimum of a Master's degree in Nursing. Doctorate Degree in Nursing is preferred.
• Current unrestricted State of Florida RN License or APRN license
• Full time nursing practice, minimum 2 years
• Full time teaching experience, minimum 2 years preferred
• Experience with learning outcomes assessments preferred
