Metropolitan Community College in Kansas City, Missouri is expanding its pool of temporary nursing instructors to support district-wide opportunities across multiple campus locations.

To be considered, applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, a valid Missouri Nursing license with eligibility for Kansas endorsement or a multi-state license, and a current BLS certification. Five years of nursing practice and teaching experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required.
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Five years of nursing experience are required.
• Three years of clinical or classroom teaching experience is preferred.
• Current active licensure to practice professional nursing in Missouri with eligibility to apply for RN licensure in Kansas or a multi-state license.

Responsibilities

• Teaching an assigned course to include preparation and meeting with students.
• Entering grades and maintaining accurate records of student performance.
• Developing instructional materials and planning lessons to enhance learning.
• Providing constructive feedback to students and assessing learning outcomes.
• Ensuring confidentiality of student records and adhering to college policies.
