Job summary

Georgia Highlands College is seeking a full-time Instructor of Nursing to provide high-quality classroom, campus lab, and clinical instruction. The teaching load equals 30 semester hours across fall and spring.

This role offers opportunities to contribute to curriculum development, student advising, and program assessment. Ideal candidates hold a Master’s degree in nursing, GA RN licensure, and several years of teaching/clinical experience; Doctoral degrees are a plus.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing required; Spring 2026 completion acceptable.
• Doctoral degree in nursing is a plus.
• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in Georgia.
• Two or more years of clinical experience preferred.
• Previous classroom and/or clinical teaching experience preferred.
• Flexibility to teach clinical as assigned (day, evening, weekends).

Responsibilities

• Develop, organize, implement, and evaluate the nursing curriculum.
• Participate in college committees, advising, and assessment.
• Deliver classroom theory, campus lab, and clinical experiences.
• Maintain regular office hours and support student learning.
• Collaborate with colleagues and clinical agencies to promote learning.
