Job summary

State of Georgia seeks an experienced Instructor for Assoc. Degree Nursing at Southern Crescent Technical College.

The role involves teaching, assessing student progress and maintaining accreditation standards in a clinical education setting. Requirements include a Master’s in Nursing or progress toward a graduate degree, plus an RN license or eligibility and at least three years of nursing experience within seven years.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.
• If holding only a Baccalaureate degree, must provide documentation of progress toward a graduate degree in nursing and have related experience.
• Must possess a current Georgia RN License or be eligible for licensure.
• Minimum of three (3) years of professional nursing experience within the last seven (7) years.
• Credentialing to meet accrediting bodies' requirements for status as instructor.

Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans for classroom instruction for credited technical/occupational courses to meet program goals and accreditation standards.
• Evaluate students’ progress toward goals and objectives as prescribed by curriculum.
• Maintain documentation and administrative reports related to accreditation and state licensing management.
• Ensure safety and security requirements in the training area.
• Assist with recruitment, retention and job placement efforts for students.
