Astrya Global Medical Staffing in Kealakekua, Hawaii, is seeking an ICU nurse for a 13-week assignment with potential extension. The role includes 12-hour day or night shifts, 72 hours every two weeks, in a 9-bed ICU with a 2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio.

Qualifications include current PALS certification and pediatric nursing experience. Compensation is $68-$74 per hour, with weekly pay and comprehensive benefits.

• Work 12-hour day or night shifts on a schedule of 72 hours every two weeks.
• Maintain a minimum staffing level of three nurses per shift.
• Care for adult ICU patients, with occasional stable pediatric patients; unstable pediatric patients are transferred to a higher level of care.
• May be assigned charge nurse duties as needed.
• Float to other departments to provide assistance as needed (not responsible for taking a full team of patients).
• Maintain current PALS certification.

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a ICU for a temporary assignment in Kealakekua, Hawaii. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.

Responsibilities for a ICU:

• Work in a 9-bed ICU with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 2:1, unless a 1:1 ratio is indicated
• Potential to care for Med/Surg overflow patients, with ratios of up to 3-4 patients per nurse
