Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Health Administration or related field required.
• At least two years’ supervisory experience in a hospital or long-term care facility.
• Licensed Nursing Home Administrator license in the state where the facility is located.
• Master’s Degree in related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of state and federal laws governing nursing facilities.
• Understand licensing and payment programs, nursing practices, and safety standards relevant to facility operations.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to meet facility objectives within budget and timelines.
• Represent the facility to community, advocacy groups, government agencies and the public.
• Ensure care meets established quality standards and maintain resident rights and confidentiality.
• Demonstrate financial management, budgeting, and resource allocation competencies.
• Create administrative policies reflecting center’s mission in compliance with laws.
• Communicate effectively with staff, consultants, and residents/relatives.
