Job summary

Roanoke-Chowan Community College seeks an experienced nursing instructor to teach assigned courses, explain objectives, and supervise clinical or lab components. You will provide additional instructional help, evaluate student progress, and maintain accurate records in alignment with college policies.

Responsibilities include advising students, aiding in registration, and participating in curriculum development for the ADN program, with ongoing professional development and adherence to SACSCOC

Qualifications

• Current, active unencumbered license to practice as an RN in the state of North Carolina.
• Experience with Moodle LMS is recommended.
• Experience in classroom teaching is required.
• Ability to write assessment questions for NCLEX.
• Familiarity with data collection and management in an educational context.
• Experience with flipped classroom delivery techniques.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses using approved course descriptions and syllabi.
• Explain course objectives and evaluation procedures to students.
• Provide instructional assistance beyond class hours as needed.
• Evaluate student progress and assign final grades per college procedures.
• Maintain accurate course records including enrollment and attendance.
• Advise students and assist with registration and referrals.
• Participate in program development and curriculum revision.
