Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
Three years of recent RN acute care experience.
Current RN license to practice in Texas; license must be obtained within 90 days if not current.

Responsibilities

Builds and maintains a high functioning team.
Manages and provides guidance to first line supervisors including interviewing, training, staff development, and performance evaluation.
Plans and supervises unit activities including treatment and care of patients.
Organizes and directs total nursing care within area of responsibility; ensures adequate staffing.
Participates in budgeting and financial variance analysis; reviews monthly financial stats and plans expenditures.
Oversees equipment purchases and space needs, ensuring resources meet patient care needs.
