Job summary

Yoso Recruiting seeks an experienced Director of Nursing (LPN) to lead our brand-new primary substance abuse treatment center in Virginia. This hands-on nursing leader will oversee daily operations, support clinical excellence, ensure regulatory compliance, and help build a culture centered on patient care, safety, and recovery.

Responsibilities include nursing oversight, medication management, infection control, staffing, and coordination with medical providers.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia LPN license required.
• Prior nursing leadership or supervisory experience.
• Experience in substance abuse treatment, behavioral health, detox, or residential care preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medication administration and nursing best practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all nursing operations within the treatment facility.
• Ensure safe and effective medication administration, storage, reconciliation, and documentation.
• Maintain compliance with state regulations, healthcare standards, and internal policies.
• Assist with developing nursing procedures, workflows, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Support infection prevention and control practices throughout the facility.
• Monitor nursing documentation for accuracy, timeliness, and audit readiness.
• Collaborate with providers, clinical teams, and executive leadership to support patient care.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, scheduling, training, and performance management of nursing staff.
• Assist with maintaining appropriate staffing levels based on census and patient acuity.
• Monitor incident reporting, patient safety concerns, and corrective action planning.
• Promote a positive and collaborative treatment environment focused on recovery and patient experience.
• Participate in accreditation preparation and regulatory inspections.
• Support emergency response procedures and crisis management when necessary.
