Job summary

EOM Healthcare Group in Madison, WI seeks a Director of Nursing (DON) to oversee our skilled nursing facility and drive quality care for residents. You will educate residents and families on prevention and healthy habits while leading the nursing team with limited supervision.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of management experience.
• Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
• Valid RN nursing license in Wisconsin.

Responsibilities

• Ensures nursing interventions meet the personal, physical and cognitive needs of residents while maximizing self-care and social interaction.
• Monitors nursing service outcomes and ensures compliance with facility and regulatory standards.
• Manages operation in absence of Facility Administrator or as directed by Administrator.
• Develops short- and long-range plans for the nursing department aligned with facility goals.
• Assists in recruiting and selecting nursing staff within budget guidelines.
• Maintains staffing levels and prepares for patient admissions based on care needs and capabilities.
• Engages with patients, families, physicians and the community to foster robust relationships.
• Coordinates with other departments to provide a positive environment for residents.
• Serves on Quality Improvement and Safety Committees and evaluates activities for continuous improvement.
