Job summary
Houston Methodist West Hospital is seeking a Director of Nursing to lead a 24/7 nursing organization, directing quality patient care and operational excellence. The role provides strategic direction for clinical services, budgeting and human resources, partnering with Medical Staff to meet accreditation standards and regulatory requirements.
The Director will oversee staffing, performance coaching, policy development and implementation to ensure a safe, compassionate and efficient care
Qualifications
- RN - Texas State Licensure required
- Magnet-ANCC Leadership Certification within 1 year
- Three years experience in a clinical setting, two of those years with people management
Responsibilities
- Directs, develops and implements strategic and operational/high level projects and processes for nursing units
- Oversees staff development, staffing, budgeting and policy implementation to meet quality and safety objectives
- Maintains engagement and professional growth through coaching, performance appraisals, and recognition
- Collaborates with Medical Staff to ensure regulatory compliance and accreditation standards
- Leads change initiatives and promotes a high-performance, compassionate care environment
