Job summary

Arcadia Care in Jacksonville, IL seeks a Director of Nursing to lead the Nursing Department, organizing and directing day-to-day operations to ensure the highest quality resident care in line with federal, state, and local standards. The DON will supervise licensed staff, coordinate services with other departments, and handle administrative duties to ensure adequate staffing and safe care for every shift.

Qualifications: nursing degree and Illinois RN license; 3 years in a supervisory healthcare

Qualifications

• Must possess a nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Must possess a current Illinois unencumbered license to practice as a RN.
• 3 years of experience in a supervisor healthcare role, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing department.
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident services to ensure continuity of care.
• Perform administrative duties such as completing forms, reports, and charting.
• Ensure adequate staffing, meds, and safety equipment for each shift.
